Jane T. (Kerr) Taylor

Jane Theresa Taylor (nee Kerr), 82, of Grayslake and Bull Shoals, Arkansas, was born on August 22, 1937 in Belfast, Ireland and passed away on August 27, 2019. Jane was the loving mother of Diane (Mike) Sherwood, Coleen (Mike) Wegel, Timothy Taylor, Jr. and Theresa (the late David) Preusker; dear grandmother of Ron (Christina Mejia) Walsh, Melissa (Erik Stark) Wegel, Rachel (Eric) Tracy, Alex (MacKenzie) Haas, Scott Preuss, Jaimie (Mark) Leiting, Kevin Matter, Jordyn Preusker, Josh Preusker, Tony Wegel, Michael Preusker; and beloved great-grandmother of Benjamin, Jacob, Hannah, Mason, Levi, and Liam. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Kerr; husband, Timothy Noel Taylor, Sr.; daughters, Debra Ann and Doreen Eileen Taylor; son-in-law, David Preusker; and 13 brothers and sisters. Jane was a full-time mom, waitress and partner in Taylor’s Restaurant. Jane’s late husband was ever the showman, but Jane was the quick-witted one, always making her daughters and son laugh. Whenever needed, Jane would be there for her family. She was always gorgeous, couldn’t be bothered and freely passed out useful advice such as, “run a comb through your hair,” or, “slap on some lipstick and you’ll feel better.” She was also a Bingo aficionado and killer poker player. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 1, from 1:00pm until the time of her service at 3:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be held privately.
