Jerry A. Martin

Jerry A. Martin, 78, of North Salem, IN, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Algonquin. He was born October 12, 1939 in Terre Haute, IN to Carl and Nadine (nee Medcalf) Martin.

Jerry was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp from 15 October 1956 to 14 July 1959. After his discharge from the Marines, he joined the Pipefitters Union, Local 597 until his retirement in 2004. He was a lifetime NRA member as well as a member of the Lions Club of Island Lake.

Jerry is survived by his children, Dee (Mike) Fox, Tracy (Laurie Piper) Martin, Toni (Stuart) Swain, and Carolyn Martin; his grandchildren, Steven Celestine, Charles (Jodi) Aldridge, IV, Christopher (Veronica) Aldridge, Skyla Swain, and Keelen Swain; his great grandchildren, Grace, Dustan, Isaac, Sophia, Gabriel, and Julianna; and his siblings, Michael Martin, Daniel Martin, and Dolores Caez.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (nee Medcalf) Martin; his son-in-law, Daniel Kellogg; his siblings, Forrest Carter, Jeanne King, and David Martin; and his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2pm at Jamestown Church of Christ Community Center, 6 S. Main St., North Salem, IN 46165.
