Linda Franklin

Linda Rae Franklin, 81 of Barrington, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Richard and Adelaide (nee Mueller) Randel.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Alan Franklin; sons, Ethan (Jennifer) and Jason (Coleen) Franklin; grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, Quinn and Blake Franklin;  sister-in-law, Penny Randel; nephew Barret (Angie) Randel and niece Jessica Randel; sister-in-law Jacqueline (nee Benge) Franklin, and 5 nieces: Kris Franklin, Tracy (Robert Milligan) Franklin, Deborah (Randall) House, Vicki (Martin) Reyes, and Rebecca (Keith) Stegemann and their respective children: Parker (Briana) House, Harrison (Traci) House, Spencer House, Graham Reyes, Madeleine Reyes; step-sister Nancy Dlugosz and her children Pamela Waske and Philip Dlugosz.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Randel and brother-in-law Sylvan Franklin and step-brother-in-law John Dlugosz.

She was a truly thoughtful and caring wife, mother, and friend who never took life for granted and cherished every day. We are so grateful for the time we had with her.  For those who were fortunate enough to know her, her kind, loving way and indomitable spirit will be sorely missed; and she will not be forgotten.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29 beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Barrington.
