Louise Duda, 74, of Deer Park, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 after battling a lengthy illness. She was born on November 27, 1947 in Giovinazzo, Italy to the late Giuliano and Sabina Petruzzini.
Being an immigrant herself, Louise was drawn to a fulfilling career as an ESL teacher at Schaumburg High School. She loved Jane Austen literature, her favorite being Pride and Prejudice. She had a passion for Italian cooking and loved to feed family and friends. Louise was a devoted grandmother to her beloved granddaughters and loved listening to their stories and hearing about their lives.
Louise is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert Duda; children, Robert (Erica) Duda, Jr. and William Duda; grandchildren, Olivia and Madeline Duda; siblings, Joe (Juliana) Petruzzini, Mary (Marcos) Ayala, Anna (Jim) Zajicek, and Vince (Diane) Petruzzini; in laws, Diana Duda, Frank (Pam) Duda, CL Duda, Dick (Sandi) Duda and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Antonette Petruzzini and brothers in law, Don and Tom Duda.
