William R. Stark

William R. Stark passed away peacefully March 22, 2022 in Barrington, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born September 28, 1959 in Elgin, IL to Robert and Helen Stark.

Bill grew up in Arlington Heights. He received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Iowa State University and his MBA from DePaul University. After decades working as an industrial engineer for Baxter Healthcare (where he met Donna) and Essendant, he spent a year and a half as director of operations at St. Raymond de Peñafort. Bill was a lifelong Cubs fan and enjoyed many years participating in the Indian Princess program with his daughters, serving on Catholic Heart Workcamp mission trips and volunteering at St. Francis de Sales parish.

Bill is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna; daughters, Lauren (Dino) Filippini and Amy Stark; mother, Helen Stark; siblings, Don (Rita) Stark, and Sue (Marty) Volz; siblings-in-law, Jerry and Dick Boesen, and Jeanne (late Wayne) Stefanowski; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stark; and his parents-in-law, Jerry and Marjorie Boesen.

Visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, March 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.  The family respectfully requests that masks be worn while visiting. Funeral Mass will be at 11am, Saturday, March 26 at St. Raymond de Peñafort Catholic Church, at the intersection of  Lincoln Street and  Elmhurst Avenue in Mount Prospect.  There will be visitation at church at 10am.  Interment will be private.
