"",Adgie Shade,93, a resident of Crystal Lake for 64 years died suddenly and unexpectedly on May 16, 2011 at Centegra Hospital-McHenry.
Adgie and her husband Harold of 69 years were inseparable in their time together. She was devoted and took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and was particularly proud of the fact that soon, in July, she would have her first great grandchild. Adgie had a wonderful sense of taste and enjoyed interior design, bridge, gardening, reading, and being with people. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake.
Adgie was born in Detroit, MI on April 17, 1918 and was preceded in her death by her husband, Harold, and her parents, Herman and Sophia Zimmerman. She was the loving and devoted mother of Suzie, David M. Sr. (Charlotte), and John. She was the cherished grandmother of Lisa, David Jr. (Amy), Paul (Heidi), and Julia.
A private family memorial service was held in Crystal Lake on May 20, 2011.
