Born June 18, 1940 in Chicago, Adrienne passed away peacefully June 12, 2016 at her home in McHenry. Adrienne will be buried in a private service at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
Adrienne could only be described as a woman with a kind heart and trusting nature. She enjoyed life with her husband, Dan Phillips for over 30 years, and her dogs Frankie and Molly. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer, and sister, Myrna.
After Dan and Frankie’s passing last year Adrienne moved from her home in Ingleside, Illinois to Fox Point Assisted Living Facility in McHenry, Illinois. Since being there she enjoyed reading and even suggested starting a poetry class. She penned this poem just last week:
New Beginnings
By
Adrienne Phillips
Spring is the season of new beginnings. The meadowlark, the robin, and me.
Living in a place filled with all kinds of people who are at many stages of their life, just like me.
For some of us the rose has bloomed. For others new advenures has begun, a new beginning.
It’s up to us to renew ourselves daily, whether outward or inward.
I choose happiness no matter what season I am in.
To be able to dance with God’s angels, the meadowlark and the robin.
To have them light on my shoulders and enjoy magnificent rays of the sun.
