Alan McLean

Alan Scott McLean, 62, of Lake Zurich, IL, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017. He was born on November 3, 1954 in Edinburgh, Scotland to Ian and Marion (Johnston) McLean.
Alan’s first job was as the local paper boy. He delivered 110 papers a week at just 13 years old. He went on to graduate from Penn State University with a degree in Business-Marketing, Class of 1976. He began his career working as a Sales Engineer for Dexter-Lawson. Alan enjoyed to play ice hockey as a young man and went on to spend his later years on the golf course.
On July 2nd, 1983, Alan was united in marriage to Lynne (Cummings). They celebrated 33 years of marriage.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Mclean; daughters, Jaclyn and Jessica McLean, siblings, Gordon and Linda McLean and his mother, Marion McLean.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, Ian McLean.
Memorial visitation will be at 10am until the memorial service at 11am on Saturday, March 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
