Alice Mae Kittredge (nee Hart),87, of Crystal Lake, died Monday, April 23,2012, at Centegra Hospital, Woodstock. Born May 6,1924, in Huntley to the late Otto W. and Martha (nee Koch) Hart, she married the late Fred R. Kittredge on November 28, 1946. Alice was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years, and served as an election judge for Nunda Township for 22 years. She was a homemaker most of her life and always had a positive attitude. Despite her age, her mind remained sharp, and she enjoyed completing word puzzles, reading, Chinese food, watching the Cubs, the Packers, and especially the Bulls, and a nice glass of Scotch every now and then. Alice cherished her family, friends, and her relationship with her neighbors. Alice is survived by her children, Cathy Plodzien, Cindy Bonaccorsi, Debby Kittredge, and Todd (Chris) Kittredge; grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca) Plodzien, Alicia (Adam) Luebbers, Brian Bonaccorsi, Tracey (Juan) Guzman, and Samantha Kittredge; six great-grandchildren; one step, great-grandson; brother-in-law, Ed (Marge) Kittredge; and several nieces and one nephew. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kimberly Plodzien; sister, Florence (Oscar) Sahagun; brother, Floyd (Adelaide) Hart; and brother-in-laws, Roy (Vesta) and Elmer (Eleanor) Kittredge. The visitation will be Thursday, April 26, from 3-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. On Friday, April 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (historic campus), 178 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. The burial will be in Union Cemetery, Crystal Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Alice's name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Illinois Chapter, 640 N.
