Alice Adrianne Dvorak, nee Rybicki, 92, was born May 7, 1929 in Chicago, IL and passed into eternal life peacefully at home, in Crystal Lake, IL on March 8, 2022. Her husband Ed was with her, daughter Suzie was holding one hand and God holding her other hand.
Alice was one of three children to Joseph Rybicki and Sophia Kwiatkowski of Chicago, IL. Alice was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
She loved her family & had many talents: As an avid piano player, she taught for years from a very young age & continued playing days before she passed. Alice loved bowling and had an average of 140 till age 89, and lifetime high game of 245! She was strong willed & bowled throughout her breast cancer treatment at age 71.
Alice loved the water and was an active swimmer all her life. Growing and sharing her raspberries was another passion of hers. Volunteering gave her great pleasure at the Raue Center for the Arts and St Thomas Little Christopher’s Resale Shop.
Alice will be dearly missed & remembered by her loving husband Ed of 65 yrs., 4 children: Tom (Karen) Dvorak, Rich Dvorak, Karen (Jay) Young, Suzie (Andy) Eichhorn; 5 grandchildren, Desiree (John) Hendle, Kayley Dvorak, Jack (Katherine Canon) Young, Christopher and Caitlin; and 5 great grandchildren, Blake Hendle, Rhett and Wyatt Rieblin, Nash Schmidt, and Alana Canon.
A memorial mass will be held for Alice, on Sat. April 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent c/o Ed Dvorak 1315 Westley Lane, West Dundee, IL 60118, for a memorial bench and/or tree in Alice’s name.
