Alice E. Kinsella, age 85, a resident of Lake Barrington Woods and formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Barrington.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N Ela St., at the corner of Franklin and Ela St., Barrington, Wednesday, April 9, where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Alice lovingly volunteered her time at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights for over 32 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, baking, and spending time with her family.
Alice will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Jeannie (John) Matlachowski and Lisa (Wayne) Johnson; grandchildren, Daniel, J.T., Jacqueline, and Joseph; sister, Ann Holie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, whom she married, September 11, 1948 in Chicago, her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Braun) Zecher; and a sister, Anita Maichel.
