Alice Frances Stedronsky

Alice Frances Stedronsky of Barrington Illinois passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Alice was born in Chicago, IL on November 13, 1936. She was a former employee of the Continental Can Company, a Co-Founder of Motivation Media Inc, and also worked at the Diet Center, the Garlands Senior Living facility, and for a local chiropractor. She was a devoted parishioner and greeter at St. Anne’s Catholic Community and a communion minister at Good Shepherd Hospital. She enjoyed leading the rosary group in her senior community, which became a daily event during the Covid lockdown and was instrumental in helping the Seniors through this difficult time. Alice traveled extensively both domestically and abroad and exhibited great enthusiasm for life and learning. She was a lifelong Cubs fan and was thrilled to see them win the World Series in 2016. She loved to entertain family and friends and was a fabulous cook. Most importantly, she was a wonderful matriarch and the best mother ever.  Alice lived to be in service to others and brought love and light to all in her path. She was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Alice is survived by former husband Frank Stedronsky with whom she had 4 children; Linda (Mike) Werner, Jon (Kris) Stedronsky, Jill Stedronsky, and Scott (Carrie) Stedronsky; cherished grandchildren, Tiffany (Joe) Byron, Trevor, Dylan, Jenna, and Jack; brother Art (Betty) Sarlin; and sister-in-law Nancy Sarlin and best friend of nearly 7 decades, Barbara Cavanaugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Margaret Sarlin; and brother Michael Sarlin.

Memorial services for Alice will be held on May 31, 2022 at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) Barrington. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, mass service at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at the Church at 12:00 pm.
