Cary, Illinois,Alma Cornelia Olivarius Alma Cornelia Olivarius, 89, of San Benito, TX, passed away on July 6, 2010. She was born in Jasper, Alabama on March 7, 1921 to Willis Pierce and Alice May Owen. She was married in 1938 to Albert James Schneider, Jr. who passed away in 1965 and then to Holger Kai Olivarius, also deceased. Alma worked as "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II while her husband Albert served in the US Navy. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She took pride in her flower gardens and won many awards for her oil paintings. Alma is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Dewey, nee Schneider; her grandchildren Vicki Davis, Jana Garrett, Julie Bridge, Jennifer Yoder, Ronald Nally and James Nally; and by her brothers Willis and Carl Pierce. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jacqueline Kaye Ziton, nee Schneider; and by her siblings Agnes Pierce, Wilford Pierce, and Robert Pierce. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. Bishop Doran Patten will officiate. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary.
