Ana Figueroa

Born Nov. 24, 1946 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, she passed away  peacefully Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Pepper Family Hospice in  Barrington surrounded by her family.

Ana was a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, she received a  Bachelors Degree.  She went on to receive a Masters Degree in Education from National Louis University.  She worked for the Waukegan Public Schools for several years.

Ana enjoyed gardening, painting, and following soap operas, she was a very active member of Church on the Rock.

Ana is survived by her children Jonpaul Figueroa, of Lake in the Hills, and Lyanna Figueroa, of Brooklyn, NY, siblings, Ana Maria,  Antonia, Eustaquio, Dolores, Noemi,  Luis, Anibal, and Evangelista,  and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Geronimo and Benedicta  (nee Moreno) Rojas, sister Carmen, and brother Pedro.

Visitation will be 9am until the time of the service at 11am Wed. Dec. 21 at Church on the Rock, 17 N. 230 Manning Rd, Huntley.  Burial will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Church on the Rock.
