Anastacia Avila Valdez, of Cary, passed away January 12, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 72.
She was born March 29, 1949 in Mexico, the daughter of the late Eusebio and Dolores (nee Sierra) Avila.
Anastacia had a strong faith. She loved bringing others to visit her church, singing for God in the church choir, and using her strong faith to carry her through.
She will be dearly remembered as a loving caretaker for her family.
Anastacia is survived by her loving husband, Anselmo M. Valdez; children, Anselmo (Angie) Valdez, Jr., Ida (Jonatan) Rodriguez, Priscilla (Scott) McLaughlin; her grandchildren, Cristian, Dominik, and Sebaztian Valdez, Kaleb and Abby Rodriguez; and her brothers, Felipe and Juan Avila.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eleven siblings.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, January 17, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
