Andrew “Andy” Gabrielsen, 53
Born July 8, 1960 in Arlington Heights, passed November 17, 2013 at his home in Crystal Lake.

Andy will be missed for his immense passion for life. He loved sports, his business, family, andhumor. Andy was always willing to go out of his way to help a friend, explain how things work,share stories and spread positivity. If someone was feeling down, or just wanted to give up, he knew how to make them smile and feel like they could take on the world. His life-long wish if he were to suddenly pass was that we don’t mourn a loss, but rather celebrate his life! Let us remember him as a friend, a coach, a mentor, a father and most of all, as the comedian he was. Andy found joy in every aspect of life. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Andy is survived by his children; Dustin (Allison), Kristi, and Jay Gabrielsen, granddaughter Ruby,brothers Jack and Gunnar (Jean Madden) Gabrielsen, and his longtime companion Danielle “Dani” Jurewicz. He was preceded in death by his parents Marian and Arthur Gabrielsen.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3pm-11pm on Friday, November 22, 2013. Old Towne Hall, 54 Brink Street, Crystal Lake, Illinois, 60014.
