Barrington, Illinois,The family of Anita E. Stohl, 82, nee Petrosky, will be holding a private memorial service to honor their mom, grandma, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed. Born November 29, 1926, in Chicago, she passed away from heart surgery complications, Monday, November 23, 2009, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Mrs. Stohl was a swimmer, who enjoyed taking her grandkids to water parks, until shortly before her death. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening, and traveling when she could. Survivors include her children, Douglas F. Stohl of Barrington, Dennis H. Stohl of Wauconda, Dawn V. (Michael) Vernola of Woodstock, and Chip E. (Kim) Stohl of Crystal Lake; grandchildren Joseph (Andrea), Rachel, and Jacob Vernola and Christina and David Stohl; great-grandson, Derek Minor; sisters, Jeannine Meissner of Chicago and Carol (Richard) Parker of Elk Grove Village; and several nephews. Mrs. Stohl was preceded in death by her husband Roy H. Stohl in 1997; and parents, Frank and Viola (nee Beranek) Petrosky.
