Ann Fesik was 99-1/2 years old when she passed away on September 26, 2016. Ann Fesik passed away peacefully in her home with her two surviving daughters, Betty and Donna, at her side. She is survived by a sister, Nellie Pazuik, and a brother, Melvin Chambers, and many nieces and nephews along the way, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was born on April 4, 1917 in Ukraina, Manitoba, Canada to John and Verna Chernawsky. On October 31, 1936, she married Philip Pereyma. They eventually moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she gave birth to three daughters. After her divorce from Philip, she married Steve Fesik and resided in Canada for a number of years. She eventually moved back to the United States to be close to her daughters and grandchildren. As time when on, she moved in with two of her daughters, Betty and Donna.
Although she worked for a number of years as an assembly line worker, her greatest love was being a homemaker, cooking and baking for her family. She especially loved it when her family came over for dinner or spent the weekend. She also loved sewing, knitting, and collecting recipes from various books and newspapers. She also loved gardening and eventually expressed a desire to have a pet. She loved all kinds of animals, and she had a kitty for about 14 years that she loved to spoil.
She was a very faithful Christian woman who attended services at a local Kingdom Hall. She had many friends and loved to travel back and forth to Canada for family reunions, which she did faithfully for over 26 years.
Her family will receive guests from 2:00pm until time of memorial service at 3:30pm, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the funeral home in Crystal Lake. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Ann's name to your favorite animal charity.
