Ann Mortenson

Barrington, Illinois,A Eulogy Service for Ann L. Mortenson (nee Weisheit), 63, formerly of Chicago and Wauconda, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Born Jan. 20 1947, in Chicago, she passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, on her 39th wedding anniversary, at her home. Ann worked for the Jewel Tea Company in Barrington from 1964 to 1979. She owned and operated Fox Cleaners in Wheeling from 1979 to 1987. Ann?s passion was rescuing animals in Lake County. She was affectionately known as Doodle-Do-Mommy. Survivors include her husband, Alan J. Mortenson; brothers, William (Mina), Frank and Charles (Azza) Weisheit; a sister, Marie Weisheit; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. and Gertrude (nee Huntzinger) Weisheit.
