Ann T. Ramey

Ann T. Ramey, 83, of Lake Barrington Shores passed away August 25, 2017. She was born April 9, 1934 to John and Aileen (nee Collins) Taylor in Milwaukee, WI.
On June 23, 1956 Ann married Robert Ramey in Oshkosh, WI. They raised two daughters and lived many years in Lincolnshire before moving to Lake Barrington Shores in 1997.
Ann was a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, MN and taught school before becoming a medical office manager.
She loved gardening, knitting, birds, and fishing. Ann enjoyed her book club and volunteering at her church, St. Gregory’s Episcopal in Deerfield, serving on the Vestry. Above everything else, she cherished time with her family.
Ann is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Linda (Aleks) Matza and Lois (Michael) Reed; and grandchildren, Mac Matza and Elyse Reed.
A memorial visitation will be Thursday, August 31st, from 4 PM until 6 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 West Main St., Barrington. Inurnment will be held privately at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ann’s name to St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, 815 Wilmot Rd., Deerfield, IL 60015.
