Ann (Carlton) Siegler, 76, of Fox River Grove, passed away peacefully on January 24th, with her family by her side. Ann was born March 4, 1943 in Burlington Iowa. She is survived by her loving daughter Paula (Caro) and son Chris (Julie) Luczak as well as her beloved grandchildren Amber (Ryan) and Haley (Luczak) and Seth and Logan (Caro), as well as numerous beloved furry grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rick, son Jerry, four-legged buddy Jake and her parents Marjorie and Clyde Carlton.
Ann attended nursing school prior to getting married and raising her children. She returned to healthcare and spent over 20 years in management working with patients and staff at Advocate Health Care until she retired in 2017. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family during her retirement and was happiest when with her grandchildren.
In 2019, Ann was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Her treatment team, led by Dr Thomas Weyburn and his incredible staff, gave our family the gift of hope and time. She was able to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary with Rick before he passed away in December. Sadly, there is no cure for a broken heart and she joined Rick and her son Jerry on January 24th. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be forever in our hearts.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, March 20th at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street, (Lake Cook Rd) Barrington IL 60010. Visitation with the family will start at 10 am until the celebration of life begins at 11 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ann’s name may be made to Paws Chicago. www.pawschicago.org.
