Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Saturday Feb. 4 at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 320 South Washington St, Park Ridge, where she will lie in state from 9:30am until the time of the mass. Interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, following mass.
Born Feb. 27, 1925 in Chicago, she passed away peacefully Jan. 28, 2012 at Forest Villa Nursing Home in Niles, IL.
Having graduated from business college, Anna Mae worked at Signod during the war. Bill Cefalu and Anna Mae founded the Logan Printing Company and worked side by side to make it successful business. Anna Mae was proud to be the first woman president of the Printing Craftsman Association. She also was an active member of the St. Anne's Womens Club, the Red Hat Society,"" and the Irish American Heritage Center. She always enjoyed a party and was famous for her """"Manhattan"""".
""Anna Mae is survived by her daughter Maureen (Richard) Gannon of Park Ridge, son Tyrone (Joyce) Cefalu of Hoffman Estates, grandchildren Erin (Mark) Rodgers, Eric Gannon, Kelly (Brian) Lawrence, and Jennifer, great-granddaughers Bridget Leigh and Alana Mae Lawrence, brother Joe McGrath, sister-in-law Barbara McGrath, former sister-in-law Brenda McGrath, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Cefalu, whom she married Feb. 4, 1945 in Wilson, NC, brothers Jimmy and Michael McGrath, sisters-in-law Doris McGrath and Eunice (Edward) Repta, and parents-in-law Caroline (Guytano) Cefalu.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Unit at Forest Villa Nursing Home, 6840 W. Touhy Ave, Niles, 60714.
