Anni Johanna (Grahn) Janke

Anni Johanna Janke (nee Grahn), age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 22, 2021.

Anni was born in Ostreusen, Germany on February 2, 1934. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 with her late husband, Richard Janke. Anni was a strong-willed individual who enjoyed many aspects of her life. She enjoyed spending time with the family, working in the garden, cooking and baking were some of the few things she was passionate about.  Anni had many close friends that she loved celebrating her German traditions with.

Anni is survived by her loving children, Perry (Patty) Janke and Kai (Sharon) Janke; and cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, Pryce, and Tayah Janke.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard Janke; parents, Gustav and Ida Grahn; siblings, Kurt, Bruno and Dora.

A visitation for Anni will be held from 2pm until 6pm on Sunday September 26, 2021 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home the following morning at 10am. Burial to follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL
