Arlene D. (Ziegenhorn) Weppner

Arlene D. Weppner (nee Ziegenhorn), 81, of Crystal Lake, was born on July 14, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Sylvan and Louise Ziegenhorn and passed away on January 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Arlene was the beloved wife of Fred for 62 years; loving mother of Lori (Dan) Palmer, Julie (Kyle) Ortberg, Mary (John) Kendzora, Jill (Mark) Gurgos, and Fred Jr. (Erin) Weppner; dear grandmother of 18; and great-grandmother of 13; sister of James (Carol) Ziegenhorn; and aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Arlene; and sister, Louise.

Arlene will be remembered for her love of her fur-babies, Cotton and Molly, and traveling, especially to her second home in Door County.

Those who knew Arlene would describe her as LOVE.

The funeral Mass for Arlene will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake.
