Arnold Schneider

Arnold Conrad (“Arnie”) Schneider, age 88, of Barrington, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011.
 
Informal visitation with family for Arnie will be held on Monday, August 15,2011, from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Avenue, Barrington. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 16,2011, from 9:00am until the time of funeral service at 10:30am, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Barrington. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
 
Born September 14, 1922 on the family farm in Readfield, WI, the son of Albert Schneider and his wife Clara (nee: Hangartner). He was baptized on October 8, 1922 at Zion Lutheran Church, Readfield. His Godparents are William Wangelin, Charles Schneider and Olga Hangartner. Arnie confirmed his baptismal faith as a young man standing before the altar of Zion Lutheran Church Palm Sunday, 1935. Arnie entered Christian Marriage with Gertrude Dolken on December 7,1946, a union blessed by God for almost 65 years. Arnie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin.  He held a J.D. from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
 
The Schneider family moved to Barrington in 1961 at which time they joined St Matthew.
 
Surviving to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Gertrude “Trudy” (nee Dolken); three loving sons William “Bill”, (Lisa), Randall “Randy”, and Russell (Lisa) and loving daughter Joan Schneider, 6 cherished grandchildren: Rebekah (Jason), Leah (Sean), Jacob, Michael, Justin and Lukas and 2 dearest great grand children: Carter and Clara; dear brother Robert (Ann) and two nephews, Reed (Beth) and Garth (Diane).
 
Preceding him into the Lord’s eternal care are his parents, Albert and Clara.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arnolds name to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
