Arturo Ayala Silva

Arturo Ayala Silva, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Arturo was a beloved member of his community and a dedicated family man. Born on June 5, 1952, in La Purisima, Michoacan, Mexico, Arturo was known for his unwavering love for his family and friends, qualities that defined him throughout his life.

As the owner of A. Silva Landscaping for over 50 years, Arturo poured his heart and soul into his work. His passion for plants and nature not only fueled his career but also enriched his personal life, as he enjoyed spending time tending to his gardens. Arturo had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, which was reflected in the beauty he brought to the landscapes he created.

Arturo was an avid lover of music. He showcased his talents as a singer and musician, playing both guitar and keyboard as a member of the band " Señal Nueve,". His love for music was matched only by his enthusiasm for automobiles and helping others.

Arturo's commitment to service was demonstrated through his involvement with the Alcoholics Anonymous program. He dedicated over 30 years of his life to supporting those in need by helping to create over 80 different chapters for the Hispanic community throughout the NW Chicagoland Area. His contributions went beyond basic participation; he was a source of inspiration and hope for many, providing leadership, guidance, and fellowship to those on their recovery journey. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the joy that he brought into the lives of everyone he met.

Arturo is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Kathy Ann Silva (Palmer); his loving children, Juan Antonio (Carmen) Silva (Belvidere, IL), Tabitha Marie Silva (Crystal Lake, IL), Arturo Silva Jr (Crystal Lake, IL), Andrew Silva (Crystal Lake, IL), Jose Silva (Wonder Lake, IL), Diana (Fred) Vroman (Marengo, IL), Brian Silva (Harvard, IL), and Michael Silva (Arlington Heights, IL); his cherished grandchildren, Mary Silva, Catherine Silva, Yelissa Silva, Gabriela Silva, Isabella Silva, Adrian Silva, Nathan Uhlken, Selena Michelle Kohlhaas-Silva, Josephina Vroman, Coltrane Vroman, and Cori Rachelle Silva; siblings, Hermila (Victor) Lopez, Maria (Arturo) Hernandez, Horacio (Noel) Silva, Juan Manuel (Celmentira) Silva, Jesus (Ester) Silva, Angelica (Jorge) Silva, Valentina (Beto) Silva, Carlos (Sandy) Silva, Beto Silva, Omar (Susana) Silva; and Tio, David (Maria) Silva; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
