Barbara “Barb” Louise Horcher was a devout catholic, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. She left this world suddenly on December 16th, 2021 at the age of 87.
She was born to Myra (Sharp) and Norman Sr. Lindseth on October 19, 1934 in Chicago, IL. Barbara attended St. Theodore in Chicago as a child, going onto Northbrook High School for a year, then Mallinckrodt High School in Wilmette, IL for the remainder of her youth education graduating in 1952. Spending two years at DuPaul University Chicago for furthering education.
She met her Husband Rudolph Horcher and got married in 1956 in Northbrook, IL. Thereafter, started a family of four in Wheeling. She was not only a stay at home mother, Barbara held a couple of jobs between Ecko Products in Wheeling and Colby Furniture in Northbrook. In 1999, they moved to Crystal Lake, IL to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.
Barbara loved spending time volunteering at the Little Christopher's Resale Shop for St. Thomas Church in Crystal Lake. She loved listening to classical music and enjoying her cats.
Unfortunately, Barbara suffered from Vascular Dementia. The last few years she had spend fighting between her mind and her body. Some days were good and others were dreadful to her. She resided in White Oaks in McHenry.
Barbara surviving family member's include: Daughter, Janet (Alan); grandchildren, Erik and Emma Hoary. McHenry, IL; Sisters-in-law, Dolores (Bob) Utah, Jo (Chip) Buffalo Grove, IL, Irene (Ray) Brookfield, WI, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: Rudy Horcher, Larry Horcher, Norman Jr. Lindseth, Al Hoary, Ed & Vi Horcher, Art Horcher, Skye & Ellie Horcher, Judy Horcher, Dan & Karen Horcher, Harry & Helen Horcher, Chip Horcher, and Ray Horcher.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Buffalo Grove.
