Barbara Krug

Our dearest, beloved wife, mother and friend, Barbara Ann Krug passed away at home among family on July 27, 2016.

She attended Carthage College and Evanston Township High School. She had a wide range of career experience from catering to promotions for Randhurst Mall, to artistically dressing ladies at the local Lake Forest Sports Shop Boutique. She loved working with and for others which continued into her retirement, volunteering for Catch Penny and House of Hope where she helped and inspired. She had a wonderful spark for life, strolling Cuba Marsh, ballroom dancing and bridge clubs with her beloved husband and partner of 51 years, Roland. She often exclaimed with a giggle: "These are our bonus years, and we're having the time of our lives." She made the most of each day with her love of family and friends. She will be greatly missed, her beautiful smile, warmth, lively twinkling eyes and wonderful sense of humor.

She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over 3 years ago, and faced it with a brave and optimistic outlook. Barbara remained at home with the love of her darling daughter Linda and devoted husband Roland.

She is survived by her husband, Roland Krug; her children, Linda Krug, Diana Krug (Scott Stecker), and Conrad Krug (Erin Schowalter Krug); her precious, delightful grandchildren, Aubrey, Caleb and Briley Krug; her siblings, Rosalie Bradley, Margie Davis, and LeRoy "Bud" Davis (Jenny Davis); her sisters in-law, Pamella Davis, Dorothea Stanton, and Ermelinde Becker; many dear nieces & nephews; and treasured friends.

She was proceed in death by her parents, Marguerite and LeRoy Davis; Roland's parents, Anna and Konrad Krug; her brother, Robert Davis; brothers in-law, Clarence "Buzz" Bradley, Norman Becker (former), and Donald Stanton; and several dear friends.

A memorial will follow at a later date. Please, no flowers.
