Barbara Ann Meyers

Barbara Ann Meyers, 79, of Crystal Lake formerly of Algonquin, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 in Middleburg, Florida.

She was born November 10, 1937 in Chicago to the late Mahlon Ira and Ernestine (nee Hefke) King.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael Collins and Michele (Jon) Coleman; her grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Aubrey, and Patrick; and her sister, Sylvine Dunn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard; brother, Arthur Grage; and sister, Kay Quitter.

Although faced with many critical health issues for the past several years, she lived a life full of God’s blessings, thanking the Lord for each new day.

Barbara will be remembered by family and friends, not just for the many accomplishments in her life, but for who she was. She was a person of integrity. She was a beautiful lady in body and soul, serving and caring for others her whole life. Her kind, nurturing spirit has touched many lives. She loved unconditionally. Her wish is that you may live in God’s grace and love always. That your lives will be blessed with the things that matter in this life and that is true love for each other and those around you.

A memorial service held in Barb’s honor on Thursday, May 25 at 6:30pm at Calvary Chapel Cardunal, 2301 Boyer Rd., Algonquin, IL 60102.

Additionally, friends are welcome to visit with Barb’s family on Saturday, June 10, beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.
