Barbara A. Moffat, 70, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her home in Crystal Lake. She was born December 26, 1946 in Peru, IL to Eugene and Blanche (nee Zimmerman) Hybki.
Barbara attended Millikin University, obtaining a degree in English and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Barbara taught at Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights for four years. After moving to Crystal Lake, she became a stained glass artist and proprietor of GlasPatches Stained Glass. She enjoyed being a Cub Scout den mother, track and cross country super fan for Crystal Lake Central, a notorious dominos player, and a proud mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Moffat, whom she married June 24, 1972; her sons, Geoff (fiancée, Andrea) Moffat, and Cory (Sabrina) Moffat; and her grandchildren, Callan and Evan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Christopher.
A visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm, Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am, Monday, December 11, 2017. Burial to follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
