Benjamin Lopez

Benjamin Lopez, 69, of Fox River Grove passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022.   He was born in Coahuila, Mexico on March 30, 1952.

Benjamin was so full of life and loved his family well.  He loved family gatherings and simply being with his wife.  He was often called her shadow.  He enjoyed dancing and listening to music and at one point was even in a band.  Benjamin will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maria; children, Eduardo, Benjamin, and Hugo; grandchildren, Eric Eduardo and Julian Lopez; and siblings, Esther, Tere, and Ismael.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Rosa (Hernandez) Lopez and his siblings, Carlos and Felipa.

Visitation will be Monday, January 10, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   Mass will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 12 Noon, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 First Street, Cary.   Burial will follow at St. John Nepomucene Cemetery, Fox River Grove.
