Bernice A. Kucynski

Bernice Ann Kucynski, 91, of Grayslake, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Chicago to John and Anna (nee Tandziegolski) Norkewicz.

Bernice was active in the Womens’ Club of Assumption B.V.M. Church in Roseland. She was noted for her knitting and crocheting abilities and her specialty “Poppyseed Cake”.

Bernice will be joyfully remembered by her loving children, Raymond (Judy) Kucynski and Diane (Jack) Tieman; grandchildren, Michelle (Darrel) Jennings, Sara (John) Harris, David (Michelle) Tieman, Daniel and Marissa Tieman; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Rose and Waylon Everett Tieman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond T. Kucynski, Sr; siblings, Richard and Jeanette Norkewicz, her parents and her granddaughter, Emily Anne Tieman.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 3 PM until 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

Visitation will resume on Monday, October 8, from 9 AM until time of prayers at 9:30 AM, then proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM.  Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
