Bevin Brown Sirovatka of Downers Grove, IL passed away on 15 August 2014 at JourneyCare of Barrington, IL.
Bevin was born 14 April 1970 in the Air Force Hospital at Offutt AFB, NE. Being in a military family meant the family moved often, with15 years of relocation with new schools in Texas, Germany and Ohio and Illinois. She became a horse owner in Dayton, OH as well as a skilled rider and horse trainer. When her family retired to Illinois, she entered Barrington High School where she completed all requirements in 3 ½ years. She owned and operated a commercial business, “Myth, Magic, and Mystery” on NW highway featuring comic books, collectible cards, and gaming.
Moving to Florida in later years she finished a degree and pursued her interest in horses, managing a large stable while breeding her own horse, a Georgian Grande. In 2010 her father had a major bout with cancer and she moved back to Barrington to help with his recovery. In 2011 she met the love of her life, Rich Sirovatka and they married that December. During that time she had to face her own battle with cancer and struggled with a recurrence late last year.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rich Sirovatka; her parents, Maxine and Paul Brown of Lake Barrington; her brother, Scott Brown of Ann Arbor, MI; her niece, Sophie Brown; and three nephews, Noah Brown, and Max and Zach Sirovatka.
