Billie Morris Glantz, 93, was born July 9, 1924 in Bixby, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully March 12, 2018 in Barrington, Illinois.
Billie, her twin sister Bobbie, and siblings grew up on an oil lease in rural Oklahoma, which provided wonderful stories of their adventures. Throughout her life Billie loved to sing. In high school her quartet won a state championship. Billie was involved in her local Lutheran church congregation, including Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Barrington. She was also active in volunteer activities, such as Meals on Wheels. Friends and neighbors could always count on Billie to offer help or bring a meal when needed. Billie was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with her husband and friends at both Barrington Hills County Club and Mariner Sands in Stuart, Florida.
Billie was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Richard (Dick) Glantz, loving mother of Martha and David (Ginger) Glantz, dear grandmother of Michael (Courtney), Becky (Tyler), Carolyn, and Molly, great-grandmother of Logan, Beckett and William, and sister of Jim and Tom Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Virginia (nee Johnston) Morris, her brothers (Ralph and John), and sisters (Geniveve, Anna, Lou Nelle, Cecil and Bobbie).
