Billie Ruth (Lewandowski) Veres

Billie Ruth Veres, 92, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on May 15, 2021.  She was born on August 5, 1928 in Chicago to Stanley and Sophie (nee Gibes) Lewandowski.

Billie was a devoted wife to Richard S. Veres for 35 years.  Together they raised six daughters in Arlington Heights.

Billie’s greatest joy was being with her girls.  She enjoyed music, movies, books, traveling and thoroughly loved her sweets.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Richard) DePuy, Cynthia Streetman, Constance (Michael) McElfresh, Elizabeth (Michael) Chabalowski and Debra (Jerry) Hedlin; grandchildren, Jason, Bradley, Andrea, Scott, Christine, Alison and Melanie; and seven great grandchildren.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Nancy (Craig) Hall; her infant son, Richard “Ricky” Willig; her parents and four siblings.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from 4 pm until the time of a service at 7 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
