Blanche Valeria, 86, of Lakewood passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born in Chicago on August 9, 1930 to Harold and Sophie (nee Szymczak) Edwards.
Blanche “Gam” was the biggest fan of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being at their games cheering them on. She was also diehard Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan. Blanche impacted many lives and will truly be missed.
She is survived by her son, Dan (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Roz; grandchildren, Daniel (Laura), Tamara (Bob), Jesse, Anna (Scott), Amy (Matt); great grandchildren, Savannah, Daniel, Alex, Gavin, Troy, Ellie, Aiden, and Jax; sisters, Geraldine (Thom), Lorraine, and Janet (Bill).
She was preceded death by her husband, Daniel and her son, Robert.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15th, from 4 pm until 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Mass will be Thursday, February 16th, at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
