Bonnie Spaccarelli Hannon

Bonnie Spaccarelli Hannon, 79 of Barrington passed away peacefully September 10, 2021 in her home. Her devoted husband, Joe Cusimano, was at her side.

Bonnie was born March 12, 1942 in Chicago, to parents (deceased) Gina and Carmen Relli.  She graduated in 1960 from Immaculata High School; in 1964 from Mundelein College; and in 1980 from Boston University School of Law.  Bonnie lived in Marblehead, Massachusetts from 1972-1986, where she raised her 3 daughters. After graduating law school, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Salem, MA and later opened her first private law practice.  In 1986, Bonnie returned to the Chicagoland area where she established her Barrington based law firm. Bonnie met Joe Cusimano, they fell in love, and eloped to Las Vegas, April 1, 2013 at the ages of 71 and 76.  Bonnie continued to practice law until her retirement in 2017.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Joseph V. Cusimano; children, Julie Ann Hannon (Philip Abrams) of Lexington, MA, Sharon M. Trefry (Scott) of Danvers, MA, and Sheila J. Boes (Klaas) of Elgin, IL; grandchildren, Samuel and Gino Abrams of Lexington, MA, Curtis, Brian, Jason, and Gina Trefry of Danvers, MA, and Saphira Boes of Elgin, IL; and siblings, Richard Spaccarelli (Georgette) of Lake Oswego, OR and Janeen Relli Gorelick (Phil) of Evanston, IL.

Visitation will be 4-8pm, Thursday, September 16 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake Cook Road) Barrington.  Funeral mass will be at 10:30am, Friday, September 17 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness and will also be livestreamed.
