Bonnie Jean (Tessendorf) Nunes

January 20, 1934 — December 13, 2017

Bonnie Jean Nunes, 83, of Woodstock, Illinois passed away Wednesday, December 13  surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born to Paul and Hazel (nee Dunn) Tessendorf January 20, 1934 in rural Crystal Lake.
A 1952 graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald D Nunes Sr., April 19, 1952.  Bonnie raised four children and later in her life returned to work, starting T.C. Transportation, Inc., with her husband and working there until her retirement in 2015.
She enjoyed caring for her home and working outdoors on her property and traveled extensively with her husband and family in their motorhome. She loved sewing, quilting and walked for miles every day.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald; daughters, Susan Younger (Edward), Cathy Furao (Tony), and Debra Mindham, (Chris); 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her niece, Pamela Schleif (Tim Easlick); nephews, Larry and Jeffrey Tessendorf; and her adored chocolate Labrador, Missie Cocoa. She will forever be remembered by her family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her only son, Ronald D. Nunes, Jr.; her parents, Paul and Hazel Tessendorf; her sister, Patricia Schleif; and her brother, Lamont Tessendorf.
Visitation will be December 28 from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, (Route 176) Crystal Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
