Bryan J. Kratz, M.D.

Bryan was born October 25, 1984 in Highland Park.  He passed away April 28, 2018.

Bryan graduated from Stevenson High School, Lake Forest College, and University of Illinois College of Medicine.  He was a current third-year anesthesiology resident at Loyola University Medical Center and was hoping for a fellowship in Pain Management so he could help others avoid addiction.

One of his favorite hobbies was buying older cars, restoring and reselling them. He loved hockey, football, fishing and snowboarding and enjoyed spending time in Lake Delavan.

Bryan is survived by his parents, Roger and Jennifer (nee Stone) Kratz; brother, Erik (Kathryn) Kratz; and aunts and uncles, Dawn Stone (Ken Bartlett), Debbie (Dan) Zierk, Mark (Diane) Stone, Alan (Kay) Kratz, Keith (Jeanette) Kratz, Susan (Mark) Gruwell, and Sheri Brown.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Victoria (nee Sciacca) Stone; and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Eileen (nee Pilotte) Kratz and his cousin, Kevin Molendy.

Visitation will be Friday, May 4th at 10am until prayers at 12:30pm, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.  There will be a procession to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for funeral mass at 1pm. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Lake Geneva, WI.
