Burton Wendt

Burton F. Wendt, 91 of Barrington,Born August 21, 1921 to Charles and Dorothy (nee Gilly) Wendt, he passed away Monday, November 19 at Pepper Family Hospice in Barrington, surrounded by his loving family.Burton was a WWII veteran, and a Past Commander of American Legion Post 158.Burton is survived by his children Thomas Wendt, and Susan (Jess) Robertson, grandchildren; Michael (Michelle), Steven, and Lindsey Wendt, Kristen (Steve) Schmaling, and Amy Robertson, brother Don (Therese) Wendt, and sister Delores McCarthy.He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Grace (2008), brother Carl Wendt, and his parents.Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday, November 23 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington.The Funeral service will be held at 10:30am Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ,401 E. Main St, Barrington.Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will follow the service.In lieu of flowers memorials in Burton's name may be made to the Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Rd, Barrington IL 60010 or to the St. Paul UCC, elevator fund, 401 E. Main St, Barrington, IL 60010.
