Byron Benjamin Myers, 91, of Barrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 27, 2015. He was born on May 21, 1924 in Phillip, South Dakota to Byron Jacob and Vera Myers.
Byron was a proud veteran of the U.S Navy as well as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and hunter especially in his favorite spots in Minnesota.
Byron is will be deeply missed by his loving children, Karen (the late Dennis) Allen, Byron James (Margie) and David (Sue) Myers; grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Allen, step-grandchildren, John, Judy, Leilani and Jennifer; his 11 great- grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Paul, Betty and Nonni; and by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Jean Myers, his parents and by his siblings.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 2 from 4 PM 8 PM and resume on Friday, July 3, from 9 until the time of service at 10 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 149 W. Main St., Barrington, IL. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
