A memorial Mass for Carl Richard Kamhout, 80, will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, September 13, at St. Anne Church, 120 N. Ela St. (not Ela Road), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30 a.m., until the time of Mass. Private inurnment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Born August 26, 1933, in Hillsdale, MI, he passed away Sunday September 8, 2013, in Wauconda.
Mr. Kamhout was a 1955 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the football team. He went on to serve in the Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosemary (nee Tomicic); children, Katherine Nemanich, Lisa (Gerard) Shannon, Dr. Peter (Dr. Terri Zomerlei) Kamhout, C.W. Paul (Melissa) Kamhout, and Mark (Peggy) Kamhout; grandchildren, Joseph, William, and Samuel Nemanich, Carly, Erin, and John Shannon, and Greta Rose, David James, Valentino, Paloma, and Sigrid Beatrice Kamhout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Henry and Kathleen (nee Maloney) Kamhout; and siblings, Jean Ann Moyer and Christian Kamhout.
