Carol L. Allendorph, 91, long-time resident of Chicago’s NW suburbs, passed away peacefully Monday, July 6, 2015, in Barrington.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years George P. Allendorph Jr.
She was born on March 1, 1924, to the late Clarence and Elsie Lundquist, in Chicago.
Carol was mathematics major at Northwestern University. She enjoyed dogs, Leelanau, Michigan and many family gatherings. Carol was one of the few to ever see the Cubs in the World Series, in 1945.
Carol is survived by her loving children, George (Jane) Allendorph, Tom Allendorph, Mark (Judy) Allendorph, and Robert (Lisa) Allendorph; grandchildren, G.P. Allendorph, Margaret (Alex) Hoover, Carl Allendorph, Lauren Allendorph, Rowan Hamilton, Gwyn Allendorph, and Caitlyn Allendorph; great-grandchildren, McKenna Hoover and Sophie Hoover; cousin Joyce Norman; and Nephew, Arthur (Kathy) Allendorph.
The family invites her friends to join them for a visitation Saturday, July 18 from 9:30a.m. until 12noon, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.
Burial will follow and be held at Acacia Park Cemetery, Norridge, IL.
