Carol A. Barsema

Carol A. Barsema (born Wiederhold), daughter of John Fink and Irma (nee Westad), 75, of McHenry County.

Carol is survived by her brother, Philip Wiederhold (Mary Zell), of Hampshire, IL; sister, Lorraine Johnson, of Pana, IL; nephews, Darold Johnson (Lu) and William Johnson (Connie Agers), both of Nokomis, IL; and cousins, Karen Eckstein of Westchester, IL and Joy Batkiewicz (Ray) of Woodridge, IL. 

Carol grew up in Bellwood, IL and attended Proviso East High School and Northern Illinois University. She worked for the Wallace Carroll Family Office for over 20 years. She was a long-time member of the Weimaraner Club of America and the Weimaraner Club of Northern Illinois. She bred and raised several AKC Champions and was involved in Show, Tracking and Field with her dogs. Carol was also accomplished in needlework, including quilting, cross-stitch and needlepoint.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 21, from 3pm until the time of the memorial service at 5:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.

Donation's may be made in Carol's memory to The Weimaraner Foundation Fund.
