Carol Gordon

Carol Ruth Gordon, of Lake in the Hills, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the age of 83.

She was born October 6, 1939 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (nee Andres) Beall.

Carol had a passion for working as a bridal seamstress. She further enjoyed snowmobiling, sewing, and traveling.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (George) Georgiafandis; step-daughter, Kelly (Vince) McGuire; step-son, Douglas (Marla) Gordon; grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Oerkfitz, Michael (Kelly) Mercure, Melissa (Pawel) Georgiafandis and George (Kaitlin) Georgiafandis, Brennan and Kaitlin McGuire, Turner, Kaylia and Connor Gordon; her great-grandchildren, Leighayla Mercure, Elaina Georgiafandis, Alexis Georgiafandis and Colton Oerkfitz; and her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Denise Marie and Donna Lyn Johnson; son, Robert R. Johnson, Jr.; her husband, Richard Gordon; and her brother, Robert (Marion) Beall.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
