Carol Jenkins

Carol A. Jenkins (nee Heiman), 71, of Cary, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born January 6, 1941 in Chicago to the late Gerald and Virginia (nee Horn) Heiman. She married Mike Jenkins on July 22, 1962 in Chicago.

Carol was a long-time Shaklee distributor, a member of BNI, and enjoyed gardening, photography, nature, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mike, Carol is survived by her children, Colleen (Dan) Sheahan of Cary, Michael (Juliana) Jenkins of Southlake, TX, and Michelle (Ken) Schmidt of McHenry; grandchildren, Kelsey and Jake Sheahan, Dana and David Jenkins, and Joey and Ben Schmidt; and siblings, Gerald (Cathy) of Glenview, Ronald (Pat) of River Forest, Kenneth (Lynn) Heiman of Niles.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-9 pm, Wednesday, March 14 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake where there will be a eulogy service at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol’s name may be made to the breast cancer charity of your choice.
