Carol P. (Frantz) Johnson

Carol P. Johnson, 80, a long-time resident of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was born on November 13, 1936 in Cleveland, OH to Alfred and Thelma (Koffman) Frantz.

Married on September 21, 1957, Carol loved to square dance and round dance. She worked as a registered nurse for Centegra Health system for over forty years before retiring in February 2016.

Carol will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Gerald E. Johnson; her children, Constance (David) Jesser and Christopher (Sara) Johnson; her grandchildren, Kate and Matthew (Tiffany) Boettger; her great-grandchildren, Jonas, Brandon, Colin, Abby, Chloe, and Josie; and her siblings, Paula Birrer, Alfred Frantz, and Fredrick Frantz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thelma; and Jenny.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 4pm until the funeral service at 7:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:30pm at First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson St. Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
