Carol Porter

Carol E. Porter, of Hawthorn Woods, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the age of 85.

She was born August 18, 1936 in Highland Park, the daughter of the late Earl and Thelma Georgeson.

Carol was an amazing cook and gardener.  She was an avid reader and member of many social clubs including rug hooking, quilting and gourmet.  She and Charlie held season tickets to the Lyric Opera for over 30 years.  Her wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Charlie; her children, Ken (Chris) Porter, Susan Porter, and David (Regina) Porter; and her grandchildren, Charlie, Emma, and Kyla.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ginger.

A memorial service for Carol will be held at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, Deerfield.
