Carol Rice

Barrington, Illinois,The memorial service for Carol F. Rice (nee Fingulin), 93, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 13, at the Community Church of Barrington, where there will be memorial visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Dr. Zina Jacque will officiate. Born December 25, 1916, in Cleveland, OH, she passed away Friday, October 29, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Rice was a 1938 graduate, strong supporter, and committee member of Northwestern University School of Music. She was also a member of the Barrington Garden Club, Chapter IM of PEO, and the Music Club of Naples, FL. Mrs. Rice was an avid fisherwoman and nature lover. She was very devoted to her family and is survived by her children, Carol (Jay) Bowditch of Bainbridge Island, WA, Emily (John) Douglass of North Oaks, MN, and Arthur (Lynn) Rice III of Barrington; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Rice, Jr.; parents, Alfred and Emily (nee Mulac) Fingulin; and brother, Alfred Fingulin.
