The memorial service for Carol J. Waldin (nee Schwartz), 77, of Cary and formerly Arlington Heights, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First St., Cary. Inurnment will be private in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
There will be a visitation from 2-7 p.m., Saturday, November 1, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.
Born February 22, 1937, in Chicago to the late Walter and Ruth (nee Bingham) Schwartz, she passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, at JourneyCare, Barrington.
Carol was a very active volunteer at St. John United Church of Christ in Arlington Heights and Cary United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, jewelry, and spending time with her pets. Most of all, she loved life and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Laurie (David) Leeds of Hoffman Estates and Heather (Stephen) Guillen of Cary; granddaughters, Jennifer (Adam) Leeds-Radochonski and Jadine Guillen; and great granddaughter, Madisyn Faith Radochonski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Waldin, Sr. in 2013.
